Hi, my name is Fabrice Epelboin, and this is my personal blog.
I’m a French entrepreneur (yep, that’s a paradox), and I’ve been startuping since… 1995… My CTO calls me a Dinosaur.
After a few webagencies in the 90s, an IPO and a few startups, I’m heading for my forties, probably a little wiser, but still wanting to create new things using RSS, Dataportability, sematics, mashuping…
I also work as a ‘web 2.0′ consultant (whatever that means) in a few companies, giving (er… selling) a marketing and a branding point of view.
My current interest are the Web 2.0 (now that’s original!), the semantic web (with a top-down approach), infobesity overcome, mobile web, value added aggregation…
Beside that, I share my life with a geek girl named Mekameta (go on, Google her) and Bidule (my cat), I love architecture, sophisticated food & cooking (French, of course, Italian, and mostly Asian), I love watches (mechanicals, quartz watches are just very cheap computers and deserve no respect), modern arts, and like all geeks on the planet, useless gadgets. Oh, I’m a Mac guy, and the last PC I’ve bought was a x286, that was so long ago…

Après plusieurs web agencies dans les années 90, une introduction en bourse et plusieurs startups, me voilà approchant la quarantaine - à défaut de la sagesse - plein d’espoirs et d’ambitions pour de nouveaux projets plein de RSS, de mashups, d’API et de Data Portability…
J’exerce mes (modestes) talents au sein de plusieurs structures, Aladia, un cabinet de consulting, et Yades, un thinktank créé après la Bulle qui conçoit et incube divers projets de startups, pour le compte de ses membres ou de business angels.
Nous travaillons sur des applications Web 2.0 (voir même Web 3.0 quand on est chauds) dans le domaine de la musique, de la téléphonie mobile, du recrutement et de l’intelligence économique.
A part ça, je partage ma vie avec une certaine Mekameta (je vous laisse Googler) ainsi qu’avec Bidule (ça va être plus difficile à trouver, mais si vous trouvez Mekameta, vous n’êtes pas loin), j’adore les shushis et l’architecture, et je suis passionné d’horlogerie, entre autre chose.
