There’s been some buzz recently to create the hard way a more personalized profile page on Twitter, basicaly, you better master Photoshop… So far, so good, I can do that, but I’m lazy, and I started by looking for a premade template to start with… Since I haven’t found anything, I started coding one (can you say coding for Photoshop work… Guess I’m more a geek than a graphic designer).

Since I’m a web2 guy, I just had to share that, so you can download the Photoshop template here.

I’m using Adobe’s Helvetica thin (57/77) as the main font, so you’ll probably have a warning when opening the file with Photoshop, and you’ll have to change the font to whatever, and of course, I expect you to change the picture ;-)

Everything is in creative commons, you can do whatever you want with it, just drop a comment here with you twitter profile.

    Very good, I don’t quite understand though, are you just using a solid graphic for a background image, similar to the old Myspace profile hacks?

    Exactely, I’m using a solid and very large JPG as a background, they’re no other way to do that… kind of a rought hack, but it does the job.

    I really liked your template, but I did find that it’s designed for users with fairly high monitor resolutions. So I resized the elements so that it looks nice for people with 1024×768 (which is a large percentage of www users I hear).

    Hmm, don’t know why but neither template will work for me.
    One would not open, “damaged header” and ther other would not be accepted by Twitter, “maybe too large file”

    Oh well can’t spend time to fight it

    Looks like you’ve got an outdated version of Photoshop and haven’t use properly the jpg compressor (File>Save for the web) ;)
